DHAKA: US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Nisha Desai Biswal will arrive in Dhaka on Thursday on a 3-day official visit.

USA Embassy in Dhaka issued a press release on Wednesday.

Nisha will come to Dhaka directly from Nepal after attending the 18th South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) Summit at Katmandu, where she represented the United States as an observer state.

During her visit, she will hold meetings with high-level government officials, labor, RMG sector and business community leaders, and opposition party leaders.

Nisha is expected to visit Bangladesh Institute of Peace Support Operation Training in Gazipur.

She will leave Bangladesh on Saturday (November 29). 

As assistant secretary, Nisha oversees US foreign policy with India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Maldives, Bhutan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and Tajikistan.
