5 held with 30,000 Yaba in Cox’s Bazar

COX’S BAZAR: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel detained five people along with some 30,000 pieces of Yaba tablets at Khurushkul Jetty on Bankhli River of the district on Saturday afternoon.

The detainees are Jamal Hossain, 40, son of Kala Mia, and Lokman, 40, son of Ahmed Hakim,  of Fadnar Dail area, Nazir Ahmed, 40, and Fazal Karim, 38, of Kutibdia Para and Abul Hashem, 50, Rabar Dam area.

RAB also seized a fishing trawler – FB Saimon-3, which was used to carry the yaba.

RAB-7 Cox’s Bazar camp operation officer assistant superintendent of police Delwar Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The detainees were handed over to police after filing lawsuit.
