COX’S BAZAR: Robbers gunned down a man in Tekpara area of Pekua upazila ealy Sunday.

The victim was identified as Abdul Khleque, 30, son of one Ola Mian of the area.

Victim’s father told banglanews that a robber gang stormed into the house of neighbor Abul Kashem around 3:00am. Hearing the hue and cry, Abdul Khleque along with the others went there.

At that time, robbers began firing indiscriminately and fled the scene, killing Khaleque on the spot.

Pekua Thana Officer-In-Charge (OC) Abdur Rakib confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Police recovered the body and sent it to the district Sadar Hospital morgue autopsy, said the OC.
