NARSINGDI: A district court Sunday sentenced three men to death for abducting and killing a boy for ransom.

Judge of District Session Judges Court M Shafiqul Karim passed the order in a crowded court at noon.

The death convicts are- Monir Hossain, 20, Alamgir Hossain, 22 and Shamvu Das of Araihazar, Narayanganj.

On January 20 in 2010, the trio abducted and killed Sohag, a class 8 student, when they did not get Tk 20lakh ransom.

In reaction to the verdict, Sohag’s father Jakir Hossain expressed satisfaction and requested the government to execute the verdict without any delay.
