DHAKA: President M Abdul Hamid, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, and opposition leader Rowshan Ershad expressed their profound shock at the demise of eminent actor Khalil Ullah Khan, popularly known as Khalil.
The President, in a massage, expressed his condolence and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
In a separate message, the premier said the late actor won the heart of the aficionados by his inborn acting talent; the country’s cultural arena had faced an irreplaceable loss by his demise.
She also prayed for salvation of the departed soul and conveyed sympathy to the family members.
Rowshan Ershad, in a massage, expressed her shock at Khalil’s death and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Actor Khalil, 80, died at a city hospital on Sunday morning due to old age complications.
In a long and eventful career as an actor, he acted in around 800 films. Khalil earned numerous recognitions and awards including two National Film Awards.
