Dhaka: A young man was slaughtered inside their phone-fax shop in Dhalpur of Jatrabari on Tuesday night while a woman was found dead near Fatema Naz Filling Station in the same area Wednesday.

Police recovered the body of the slaughtered boy from the shop on Dhalpur Commissioner Road. Mainul Hossain, 14, son of Abdus Sattar from Karamtali village under Muradnagar Thana in Comilla, was an employee of the shop.

Owner of Lami phone-fax shop Iqbal Hossain said Mainul had his dinner at 11.30 Tuesday night and went to sleep as usual. “I went to the shop, which was unlocked, and found his body on the floor behind the table this (Wednesday) morning,” he added.

OC of Jatrabari Thana Moniruzzaman told banglanews24.com.bd, ”Miscreants might have got in the shop in the name of mobile-refill or flexi-load and killed him sometime on Tuesday night. “

In another development, police recovered the decomposed body of a woman early Wednesday.

Jatrabari police said the body of the woman, aged around 25, found lying in front of Fatema Naz Filling Station at around 3:30 am, was beyond recognition.

A vanity bag with some notes of Tk 10 denomination were also recovered from beside the body, SI Kamal Hossain of the police station said.

Police suspected the woman might have been killed elsewhere and left on the road later on.

The bodies were sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue.
