DHAKA: Public administration ministry has identified the government officials who met BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia on December 4.
State minister for public administration ministry Ismat Ara Sadique made the disclosure through public relations officer M Towhidur Rahman on Tuesday.
Ismat Ara also assured the media that legal action would be taken after examining the list.
The ministry said that they have got a list of 30 government officials from the intelligence agency.
A ministry official, on condition of anonymity, said they did neither form probe committee nor issue letters to the ministries concerned in identifying the officers.
Earlier on Sunday, the state minister said public officials, who met BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia, would have to face disciplinary action for the violation of Government Servants' (Conduct) Rules.
On December 4, several public officials attended a meeting with Khaleda Zia at her Gulshan political office allegedly aiming to boost-up anti-government movement.
Sensation was created in the administration after spreading the news.
However, BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir denied any arrangement of meeting.
