GAZIPUR: A youth was killed as a train knocked a human hauler on Dhaka-Rajshahi rail-route at Mouchak rail station area of the district on Friday.

The identity of the deceased could not be known immediately.

Assistant Station Master of Joydevpur Rail Station Nasir Uddin told banglanews that a passenger train knocked a human hauler while it was crossing the rail line, leaving six passengers of human hauler injured.

They were rushed to Kaliakair Upazila Sadar Hospital where one of the injured succumbed to his injuries at noon.

Morgue staff of Kaliakair Upazila Sadar Hospital Mohammad Ali told banglanews that the deceased’s body was kept here for autopsy.

Earlier, six people were injured when a human hauler was hit by a train at Buriabo rail crossing area under Kaliakair upazila of the district in the morning.
