DHAKA: Two people were electrocuted in Demra area of the city on Saturday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Parvez, 19 and Arif 17.

Sources said the incident took place at a house adjacent to Shantibagh Shamsul Haque Khan School and College in Konapara area of Demra around 4:00pm.

House owner Jashim Mia said they came in contact with live electric while pulling rods to the third floor of the building.

They were rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where on-duty doctors declared them dead.

However, DMCH police outpost In-Charge Mozzamel Haque informed the media that the bodies were sent to the morgue for autopsy.
