MUNSHIGANJ: At least 35 passengers of a bus were injured in a road accident in Bhaterchar bus stand area under Gazaria upazila of the district on Tuesday afternoon.

Police sources said a passenger bus skidded off the road and fell into a roadside ditch while giving a side to an auto-rickshaw on Dhaka-Chittagong highway in the area around 2:00pm, leaving 35 people injured.

Of the injured, some 10/12 passengers were shifted to Dhaka and rest of others were admitted to Gazaria Upazila Health Complex.

On information, highway police rushed in to salvage the bus from the ditch.

Bhaberchar Highway Police Outpost Sergeant Saiful Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
