DHAKA: A spell of shivering cold wave is likely to sweep the country in last days of December.
Weather forecast said though day temperature may remain unchanged across the country, the night temperature may fall from one to two degree Celsius.
The temperature will fall more if cold wave continues, the forecast added.
Country’s lowest temperature was recorded 12.1 degree Celsius at Sreemangal on Tuesday.
According to the met office, the temperature may fall more after December 20. Temperature in Dhaka may decrease to 12 degree Celsius while it will more for other parts of the country.
Diseases like diarrhoea and pneumonia may spread due to the cold temperature.
The agriculture department warned that the lower temperature may also hamper the vegetable productions in the country.
