DHAKA: Three workers were electrocuted to death at Khagan in Savar’s Birulia area while installing a billboard on Wednesday afternoon.

The deceased were identified as Hasem, 22, Mamtaz, 32 and Anu, 26. All of them were residing in the city’s Manda area.

Confirming the matter, workers’ supervisor Mohammad Yunus said four workers out of six were electrocuted while installing a large billboard on an electric pole at that area at 4:30pm.

“Later, three of the electrocuted were declared dead when they were rushed to Enam Medical College Hospital in Savar,” he added.

Regarding the matter, Savar Model Thana Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mustafa Kamal said that another worker, Rafiqul Islam, is undergoing treatment at the hospital.
