SAVAR, DHAKA: An unidentified man was run over by a bus on Dhaka-Aricha highway in Savar Thana Bus Stand area on Friday morning.

Quoting witnesses, police said a passenger bus of Janaseba Paribahan hit man around 8:00am while crossing the road in the area, killing him on the spot.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital for autopsy.

The bus driver, however, managed to escape the scene with the vehicle.

Savar Model Thana Officer-In-Charge (OC) Mostafa Kamal confirmed the matter to banglanews.

A case was filed in this connection, said the OC.
