SHERPUR, BOGRA: Three people, who were injured in a road accident on Thursday night, succumbed at Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital on Friday.

The deceased were identified as Kajol Kumar Achariya, 30, son of Rathikanta Achariya, of Jamakpur village of the upazila, Hasib, 17, son of Dulal Hossain, and Sabbir Hossain, 15, son of Rafiqul Islam of Nishindara area.

Quoting witness, police said a truck ran over an auto-rickshaw on Dhaka-Bogra highway in Mohipur area of Sherpur upazila on Thursday night, injuring six people seriously.

The injured were rushed to the hospital where three succumbed to their injuries on Friday morning, said Sherpur Thana Sub-Inspector (SI) Alhaj Uddin.
