LALMONIRHAT: A college girl was killed and one other injured in a road accident on Lalmonirhat-Burimari highway in Kashirampur area under Kaliganj upazila on Sunday morning.

The deceased was identified as Renufa Aktar, 19, student of Karimuddin Public Degree College.

Witnesses said a rashly driven passenger bus hit the motorcycle, carrying Renufa, her husband Lablu and her friend Bobita, from behind, leaving them injured.

They were rushed to Kaliganj Health Complex where Renufa succumbed to her injuries.

Later agitated mob seized the killer bus and barricaded highway there. On information police rushed to the spot and convinced people to withdraw blockade.

Kaliganj Thana Officer-in-Charge Monzurul Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
