NEW YORK: BNP vice chairman and also former DCC Mayor Sadek Hossain Khoka is taking chemotherapy in New York’s Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

His personal physician Dr Muzibur Rahman Majumder informed the matter on Sunday (NY local time) in the presence of Khoka at a press conference at Palki centre at Jackson Heights.

Replying to a query of the reporters, Khoka said he had been staying in NY for the treatment, not from the fear of cases filed in Bangladesh.

“After recovery I will take part in the movement to oust the incumbent government ignoring all hindrances”, he added.

Dr Muzibur said according to medical science, Khoka is now in stage-IV of cancer. He hoped Khoka will recover and return the country very soon.
