DHAKA: The International Crimes Tribunal, adjacent to the High Court in the city, has been covered under a tight security ahead of the verdict in war crimes cases against SM Qaisar.
Sources told banglanews that the security measures were strengthened in the area since the dawn.
Apart from police, RAB personnel and plain dressed detectives are also on alert there to ensure security, they added.
Moreover, according to the sources, numbers of Armored Personnel Carrier (APC) and water cannon are keeping stand-by there beside of increasing numbers of police check posts.
The International Crimes Tribunal-2 will pronounce its verdict in war crimes case against former Jatiya Party state minister Syed Mohammad Qaisar for his alleged crimes against humanity in the 1971 Liberation War.
Earlier, on Monday, a three-member tribunal led by Justice Obaidul Hasan fixed Tuesday for the verdict.
