Journo’s skeleton recovered in N’ganj

NARAYANGANJ: Law enforcing agency personnel recovered the skeleton of a journalist from Sonargaon upazila of the district Monday evening.

The identity of the deceased was confirmed as Abdur Rob, a Mirpur correspondent of ‘Aparadh Chitro’ from the identity card found at his pocket.

Police and local sources said while cleaning a marsh by the SP Union Degree College, a farmer found the skeleton and informed police in the evening.

Later, Sonargaon Thana Police recovered the body and sent to Narayanganj General Hospital for an autopsy.

Sub-Inspector of Sonargaon Thana M Yasin Munshi told banglanews that a journalist named Abdur Rob, hailed from Jhenaidah, went missing around eight months ago from Mirpur in city.

A case was filed in this connetion with Pallabi Thana, he added.
