DHAKA: Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi is scheduled to visit Bangladesh on a three-day visit on Saturday.
The foreign ministry sources said Wang Yi will land at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport here around 6:40 Saturday.
During the visit, Wang Yi will meet foreign minister of Bangladesh AH Mahmood Ali around 10:00am Sunday.
The Chinese minister is scheduled to meet with President Abdul Hamid, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and some cabinet members.
Sources said some bilateral issues, including regional communication, will be discussed between the countries celebrating the 40 years bilateral ties between Bangladesh-china.
Earlier on June, Hasina invited Chinese Prime Minister Li Keqiang to visit Bangladesh.
In response of the invitation, the Chinese premier may come to Bangladesh in the 40th anniversary of the relation.
The foreign minister will review progress and possibilities of the two accords, three MOU’s and two exchange bonds signed during Sheikh Hasina’s visit in China.
Wang Yi will leave Dhaka around 2:15 Monday.
