FARIDPUR:  A police officer was killed in a road accident in Piarpur area on Nuru Mia bypass road of the district on Wednesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Saroz Kumar Roy, an inspector of Bangladesh Police. 

Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) M Kamruzzaman confirmed the matter to banglanews. 

The motorcycle, riding by Saroz Kumar, was sandwiched between two trucks in the area on 10:15am, leaving him dead on the spot, the ACP added.

The two trucks, however, managed to escape the spot.
