DHAKA: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has taken special security measures across the country to make smooth the celebration of upcoming Christmas day.

The RAB boosted up their security system in all churches and Christian dominated areas from Tuesday, which will remain till the celebration of the biggest festival of Christian community.

Assistant director Major Maksudul Alam of Legal and Media Wing under RAB headquarters confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Earlier, state minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal for Home Affairs Ministry also said to the reporters that four-tier security system was taken to avert any untoward situation.

Major Maksudul said the RAB personnel have been also deployed from Wednesday in the important points of the country, including amusement parks, parks, zoos and bomb disposal team and dog squads were kept ready.
