BOGRA: Police nabbed 79 persons in several drives conducted in past 24 hours across the district for their alleged involvement in drug smuggling.

During the drives, law enforcers also recovered 34 bottles of phensedyl, 55 pieces of yaba tablets, over five kilograms marijuana and nine grams heroin from their possession.

District police media cell official and also Assistant Police Super (Sadar) in Bogra Gaziur Rahman confirmed the matter to banglanews on Thursday.

He said that police conducted special drives across the district and held 79 persons who were involved in drug smuggling.
