DHAKA: Customs Intelligence Department officials on Thursday recovered three sacks of foreign exchanges and 480 gold bars from a house-cum-shop at Purana Paltan area in city on Thursday evening.
Director General of Customs Intelligence Department Dr Moinul Khan confirmed the matter to banglanews.
Deputy Director of Customs Intelligence Department Mustafiz said that acting on tip-off, we conducted the drive and seized three sacks of currencies of various countries including Saudi Real and 528 (60kg) gold bars.
“We had seized the money from the box ceiling of the house though the house owner denied about it at first,” he added.
Details will be disclosed later in a press briefing, he also said.
