DHAKA: A 4-year old boy fell into a 400-feet deep hole of an abandoned water pump near a field in Khilgaon Colony of the city on Friday afternoon.

Confirming the matter Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shahjahanpur Thana Mehedi Hasan said the victim Zihad fell into the hole while playing in the field around 4:30pm. 

Assistant director of Dhaka Fire service also confirmed the matter and said members of police and three fire fighter teams have been trying to rescue the kid.

“We are assured that the kid is alive as we are hearing his screaming,” he added.
