DHAKA: Separate desk will be set up for providing Machine Readable Passport (MRP) to hajj pilgrims and steps to be taken for police verification in fastest possible time for new passport holders.

State minister for home Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal made the disclosure on Friday noon.

He was addressing the inaugural program of 4-day-long 8th Hajj and Omra Fair, organized by Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh at Bangabandhu International Conference Center.

Asaduzzaman Khan said, “MRP made mandatory for all as without it hajj pilgrims have to face several difficulties.”

He also said this year no complain was found after hajj and next year should be same.
