DHAKA: Golam Masih, the political secretary of opposition leader in Jatiya Sangsad Raushan Ershad, has been appointed as the new Bangladesh Ambassador to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The former secretary of international and diplomatic affairs of Jatiya Party has replaced Shahidul Islam, who was appointed as Bangladesh Ambassador to Malaysia.

Foreign Ministry sources confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Masih completed his graduation from Dhaka University in 1981.

Earlier, JP chief HM Ershad was made the special envoy of the Prime Minister.
