DHAKA: A crane operator of a steel mill died from severe burn injuries after a netel, a part of machine, fell on his crane in city’s Konapara area under Demra Thana on Sunday.

The deceased was identified as Abul Hossain, 65, crane operator of Shahriar Steel Mills, located in Konapara area of Demra.

One of his colleagues, Bakul Ahmed, told banglanews that Abul sustained burn injuries in the morning after the netel of the factory fell on him while he was shifting it with the crane one place to another.

Later Abul, who was rushed to burn unit of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH), succumbed to his injuries in the noon, he added.
