MUNSHIGANJ: Four people, including a child, were killed and five others injured as a goods-laden truck turned turtle and rammed three CNG-run auto-rickshaws on Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Gazaria upazila of the district Friday.

Of the deceased, one was identified as Anjali Saha, 48.

Bhaberchar highway police sergeant Saiful Islam told banglanews that a rashly driven corn-laden Comilla-bound truck overturned and rammed three auto-rickshaws at Jamaldi bus stand area around 1:30pm, leaving three people, including a child, dead on the spot and five others injured.

The injured were rushed to Gazaria Upazila Health Complex where Anjali Saha succumbed to her injuries around 7:00pm, he added.
