BSF abducts Bangladeshi from Benapole

BENAPOLE (JESSORE): Members of India’s Border Security Force (BSF) kidnapped a Bangladeshi cattle trader Azizur Rahman (30) from Putkhali frontier under Benapole Land-port Thana.

Sources said Azizur, son of Chand Ali of Putkhali union, was abducted by the BSF personnel of India’s Angrail camp at 4:00am on Tuesday.

Locals told banglanews that the BSF personnel chased Azizur while he was standing by river Ichhamati on the border.

After beating the Bangladeshi trader mercilessly, the BSF members handed over him to India’s Gaighat Thana of 24 Parganas district.

They have informed Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) personnel about the matter, the locals added.

Subedar Abdul Haque of 23 BGB Putkhali Camp confirmed the matter to banglanews.
