DHAKA: Protesting the countrywide violence amid blockade enforced by BNP, all drivers of road, railway and waterways blew their vehicle horns for a minute on Thursday.

Hundreds of protesters under the banner of Sramik-Karmachari-Peshajibi O Muktijoddha Samanya Parishad observed the protest program at 1:00pm.

Showing solidarity with the program, Shipping Minister Shahjahan Khan and Information Minister Hasanul Haque Inu took position in the road in front of Osmani Auditorium in the city and blew the horns.

Most of professionals also observed the protest program standing in front of their office.

Earlier on Wednesday, Shahjahan Khan declared the program at a press conference at the National Press Club.

Further mass movement will be announced from a convention of ‘Sramik-Karmachari-Peshajibi O Muktijoddha Samanya Parishad’ at BMA Auditorium in the city at 3:00pm on February 7, the minister said.
