LALMONIRHAT: Two workers, who suffered burns in a fire at restaurant on January 30, lost their battles for life at Rangpur Medical College Hospital (RMCH) early Thursday.

The deceased were identified as Surujjal Mia, 34, son of Syed Ali and Tapan Barman, 30, son of Hemanta Barman, hailed from Hatibandha upazila of the district.

Hatibandha Thana Officer-in-Charge Abdul Motin told banglanews that a fire broke out at Pipasha Hotel and Restaurant at Doikhawa Hat of the upazila after exploding a burner that left burnt severely.

The injured were admitted to the RMCH where they succumbed to injuries at 3:00am, he added.
