DHAKA: Enshrouded transport workers took position on the roads in front of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia’s Gulshan political office on Thursday.
Local lawmaker Abul Kalam Azad MP also lent support to the transport workers’ sit-in program started around 1:00pm.
He expressed hope that BNP chief would leave the path of violence in the name of staging demonstrations so that the country can enjoy peace and prosperity and the candidates of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) can appear in examinations.
Some 300 transport workers along with relatives of victims, who were burnt to death, have participated in the program.
Transport workers urged Khaleda Zia to withdraw shutdowns and blockade.
