GAZIPUR: Miscreants torched a passenger bus in Chandana area of the district on Monday afternoon.

Fire fighting sources said that miscreants hurled a petrol bomb aiming at the bus around 1:30pm. The fire broke out at the bus soon after the blast, said a spot account of the incident.

No one was reportedly injured in the incident as the passengers managed to get down from the bus immediately.

However, on information, fire fighters rushed in and doused the blaze.

Gazipur Fire Service deputy assistant director (DAD) Akhtaruzzaman Liton confirmed the matter to banglanews.
