DHAKA: A Dhaka court sentenced five people to death and three to life-term imprisonment for killing a youth in Old Dhaka some 16 years back.

Dhaka-4 additional session Judge Ruhul Amin passed the order Wednesday.

The death convicts were- Dulal, Billal, Sharif, Amzad and Bulbul.

While the life timers were—Sumon, Salauddin and Jabed. The court also fined them Tk 10,000 each, on default, ordered to serve one more year in jail.

The case statement says, a youth named Khorshed Alam was killed by the convicts in 1999.
