BAGERHAT: More than 50 people are feared dead and several others injured in the collapse of a multi-storey under construction building of Elephant Brand Cement factory of Sena Kalyan Sangstha in Mongla Upazila of the district.

The incident took place on Thursday noon. Scores of workers are also feared trapped in the rubble.

Bagerhat fire station officer Jaynal Abedin confirmed the collapse of Titas Bhaban to the banglanews.

He said being informed about the causalities in a building collapse, a rescue team was on way to the spot.
