MIRSHARAI: A 10-kilometre-long tailback has been created on Dhaka-Chittagong highway after a truck went out of service near Ochi Miah Bridge in Mirsharai upazila on Friday.
Sources told banglanews that long queue of vehicles was seen on both side of the highway, causing immense sufferings to passengers.
However, the 10-km gridlock has been created from Haddifakir Bazar area to Mithachhara area, sources added.
Confirming the matter, Mirsharai Police Station Sub-Inspector Arifur Rahman said that a truck, after going out of service near the bridge around 5:03pm, has created the situation.
On information, the highway and thana police rushed to the spot and returned normalcy in the highway around 7:30pm, he added.
