6 Bangladeshis held on Hili frontier

HILI (DINAJPUR): Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) detained six Bangladeshis who were trying to enter India illegally through Hili frontier on Tuesday.

The detainees were identified as Sumon, son of Mozaffar Hossain; Rana, son of Hasan and Sohel, son of Kaisar of Hakimpur upazila of Dinajpur; Parvez, son of Abu Sayeed of Bogra sadar upazila; Mamun, son of Jasim Uddin of Khetlal upazila of Joypurhat and Sujon, son of Harun-or-Rashid of Syedpur upazila of Nilphamari.

BGB Hili CP Camp commander Nayek Subedar Abdul Jabbar said that they nabbed the youths in drives conducted from Tuesday morning to noon.

However, the BGB members handed over the detainees to Hakimpur Thana and filed cases against them.
