RANGAMATI: Two people died from electrocution in Payinbagan area of Kawkhali upazila on Friday.
The deceased were identified as Rahima Begum, 40 and her grandson Imon, 5.
Locals said Rahima and Imon came in contact with a snapped electric wire while they sat in a tea shop in the area around 12:00pm, leaving the duo dead.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Kawkhali Thana Nilu Kanti Barua confirmed the matter to banglanews.
