DHAKA: At least 83 people, including activists of BNP and Jamaat-e-Islami, were arrested in different upazilas of two districts on Friday.

Jessore staff correspondent reports: Police, in overnight drives, arrested 46 people from eight upazilas of the district.
 
District police control room said all captives are accused in different cases and will be produced before the court Friday afternoon.

In Satkhira: At least 37 people, including an activist of BNP and eight activists of Jamaat-e-Islami and Chhatra Shibir, were arrested from different places of the district.

Police carried out the drives from Thursday night to Friday noon to nab the anarchists, said Sheikh Emdad Hossian, officer-in-charge of Special Branch of District Police.
