9 traffickers held, 12 victims rescued

DHAKA: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) members on Monday held nine persons in suspicion of human trafficking and torturing the fortune seekers.

Moreover, the law enforcers rescued 12 victims, who were captives in the hands of the traffickers.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, RAB media wing director Mufti Mahmud Khan said the daylong drives ended at noon.

A press conference will be held in this regard on Monday afternoon, he added.
