LAKSHMIPUR: Detective Branch (DB) of police seized huge amount of firearms from an abandoned house at Palerhat area in Bashikpur Union under Sadar upazila on Monday night.

The seized arms include one LG gun, one rifle, two one-barrel guns and 53 rounds of bullet of shot gun, one-barrel gun and pistol.

Assistant superintendent of police Zunaid Kausar told banglanews that on information about a secret meeting of miscreants, they conducted a drive in the area and seized the arms.

“Sensing the presence of police miscreants managed to flee the spot,” he added.
