DHAKA: The Independence Glass Tower and museum will formally be open to all on the occasion of the country’s Independence Day, on March 26.

Cultural affairs minister Asaduzzaman Noor made the disclosure on Wednesday afternoon at a press conference at Independence Squire in Suhrawardi Udyan in the city on Wednesday afternoon.

The museum will display pictures presenting the history of Bangalis and Bangladesh war of independence chronologically, said the minister.

According to him, weeklong programs have been chalked out regarding the inauguration of the Independence Tower and museum which will remain open from 9:30am to 4:30pm on Independence Day.

Entry tickets will be priced at Tk 10 for adults and Tk 2 for children less then 12 years.

Cultural secretary Ranjit Kumar Biswas, National Museum director general Faisal Latif Chowdhury, its Board of Trustees chairman M Azizur Rahman and architect of the tower and museum Merina Tabassum, among others, were present at the conference.
