DHAKA: 136 more Bangladeshi nationals including 5 women and 4 children have been evacuated from war-torn Yemen with help of Indian government so far, said a press release of Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday.

The release signed by the ministry’s External Publicity Wing director (media) Nripendra Chandra Debnath added that an Indian Naval Ship evacuated the stranded Bangladeshis from Hodeida city of Yemen Wednesday and arrived safely at Djibouti Thursday.

Bangladesh Ambassador in Kuwait, stationed in Djibouti, received them at the sea port. The ministry is arranging their food, shelter and other logistics during their stay in Djibouti.

The rescued Bangladeshis will be flown home by a special flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines on 20 April while exact time of their arrival will be informed later, according to the release.
