DHAKA: The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 will pronounce its verdict any day in war crimes cases against fugitive Syed Md Hasan Ali.
Three-member tribunal led by Justice Enayetur Rahim kept the verdict CAV (Curia Advisari Vult) as proceedings ended Monday.
Prosecution and defense lawyers submitted their arguments on April 15, 19 and 20. Some 26 witnesses submitted deposition against Hasan Ali, while none was found for him.
Six charges were framed against the absconder by the ICT-1 headed on November 11 in 2014. He was charged with killing 24, abducting and confining 12 as well as looting and torching 125 homes.
On April 3 of last year, the war crimes tribunal issued arrest warrant against Syed Hasan Ali, a razakar commander of Tarail in Kishoreganj during the 1971 Liberation War.
