DHAKA: The decision of army deployment in upcoming city polls hanged on the air as five election commissioners were split on the issue on Monday.

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) and another commissioner opined for army deployment, two commissioners opposed while rest one was still undecided till afternoon.

However, a source in EC said the final decision might come on Tuesday.

Elections in Dhaka and Chittagong city corporations are scheduled to be held on April 28.
