DHAKA: All services of National Identity Registration Wing of the Election Commission (EC) will remain closed till May 25 due to up-gradation of server stations.

EC's public relations department Director SM Asaduzzaman confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Asaduzzaman said that receiving application and other regular services of national identity cards will remain closed due to make exact copies of servers’ information and DRS database.

Services, however, will resume on May 26 as usual, the director added.
