RANGPUR: Students of Rangpur Medical College Saturday boycotted classes and staged demonstration on the campus protesting terrorist attack on a teacher.

The students also besieged the office of the college Principle demanding exemplary punishment to the miscreants.

The doctors and teachers also held an emergency meeting at noon, presided over by acting Principal Zakir Hossain, where they demanded arrest of the attackers within 48 hours.

A gang of terrorists attacked Dr Zakirul Islam, a teacher of   Pharmacology Department, on Friday night on his way home from the hospital. They beat him up with iron rod and sticks, leaving him seriously inured.
