MYMENSINGH: At least seven people were killed and five others injured as a pick-up van collided head-on with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in Muktagachha upazila of Mymensingh district on Monday noon.
The accident took place in Nimuria Dubapar area on Mymensingh-Tangail highway at 12:00pm.
The deceased included Jaynal Abedin (45), Abdus Salam (32), Nabiran (55), Tufania (60), Abul Kashem (60), Mantu (32) and Iqbal Hossain (45).
Muktagachha Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Kamal Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.
Locals said that a fish-carrying pick-up van collided head-on with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw leaving four people dead on the spot.
