DHAKA: Indian Army Chief General Dalbir Singh Suhag, who came in Dhaka on a two-day official visit, has left Dhaka on Tuesday noon.
A special flight left Kurmitola Airbase for India at 12:40pm.
Military secretary Major General Anwarul Momen and India high commissioner Pankaj Saran, among others, were present during his departure.
Earlier in the day, he reached Dhaka from Bangladesh Military Academy in Chittagong in a helicopter.
Earlier on Monday afternoon, the Indian Army Chief met his Bangladesh counterpart General Iqbal Karim Bhuiyan at Army Headquarters in city.
They talked about current training programs and various aspects of the profession in the meeting.
He visited Bangladesh at the invitation of Bangladesh Army Chief.
During his visit, General Dalbir Singh, as chief guest, reviewed the passing out parade of Bangladesh Military Academy in Chittagong, apart from attending several meetings.
General Dalbir Singh’s visit was a part of high-level exchanges between the Armed Forces of India and Bangladesh.
General Dalbir Singh Suhag, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, VSM, ADC assumed the office on July 31 of 2014 as the 26th Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) of India Army.
