DHAKA: Police recovered the hanging body of a housewife in Begunbari of Tejgaon industrial area in city on Saturday morning.

The victim has been identified as Sumaiya Yasmin Jharna (38), wife of Dr Mohammad Ali, a teacher of Bangladesh Textile University in city.

Saddam Hossain, brother-in-law of victim said that his sister-in-law, a mother of two children, had committed suicide following a familial dispute.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Tejgaon Industrial Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Mohammad Mizanur Rahman said that police recovered the body after getting information from the victim’s husband.

The body has been sent to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) morgue for autopsy, the OC added.
